Jean W. Gardiner

HARRISVILLE a€" Rea Jean Wright Gardiner, 75, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 5, 1933, the daughter of Joseph Clyde and Zella East Wright in West Warren, Utah.

Jean married Richard Gardiner on November 5, 1954. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They were blessed with three daughters. She was a member of the Harrisville 5th Ward. Jean and Richard were very devoted to each other. She was very appreciative of his love, patience, and continuous care.

Mom was a very loving person. Her first priority in life was being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mom was always polite, kind, and concerned about others, rather than herself. Never complaining, even until the very end.

Jean worked for Metz Baking Co. for 30 years before retiring in 1995. Jean and Richard enjoyed golfing and traveling. They enjoyed going to dinner weekly with their dinner group. They spent winters in Arizona and Mesquite, NV. The most important thing to her was spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband and three daughters, Julie (Doug) Craner, Jalene (Bruce) Brockbrader, Jill (Ryan) Johnson, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren, her brother Lynn (Reta) Wright and sisters, Verla (John) Hansen, Linda (Raleigh) Jensen. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ray, and sisters Carma and Cleo.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, West Warren Cemetery.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Michael Diehl and his staff for the many years of loving care. They would also like to thank Becky and Valerie of Applegate Hospice for their tender care of mom and the support they showed our family.
