Rebecca Gillespie Perkins

Rebecca Perkins CLEARFIELD – Rebecca Perkins, 55, of Rocky Mountain Care in Clearfield, Utah, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 19, 2010. Rebecca and her mother both fought a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig’s (ALS) Disease. She was born on January 22, 1955 in Ogden, Utah. She was the daughter of Sheldon P. Gillespie and Miriam Louise West Gillespie. Becky is survived by her father Sheldon P. Gillespie, one brother Wade (Jane) Gillespie; sisters Kay (Bill) Mentor, Pamela (Clifton) Specht, Debra (Bob) Talbot, and Ronda (Joe) Sanchez; her children Christina Simpson, John W. (Doris) Reynolds, Lavon Reynolds; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Louise and two infant sisters. Cremation under the direction of Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of Rocky Mountain Care and Rocky Mountain Hospice for the thoughtful and kind care Becky received and for their kindness to the family.
