Rebecca Ann Barlow Ringler Peterson passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the home in Layton, Utah.
Rebecca was the twelfth of thirteen children, was born on October 14, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the home of her parents, Albert Barlow and Amanda Kate Kilgrow.
She worked at HAFB where she met Rodney R. Ringler on Valentines. They married on July 21, 1960 in Bountiful, Utah. They were later sealed in the SLC Temple on October of 1968.
After the passing of her beloved husband Rodney in 1991, she was blessed to meet and marry Grant C. Peterson of Layton in 1992. She loved sharing her hobbies of music, camping and travels. Rebecca was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandma, aunt and sister. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Holding a baby was the closest thing to heaven, she would say. Rebecca was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Rebecca and Rodney taught their children the value of hard work, serving others and to love the Lord.
Survived by her husband Grant Peterson, her children, Ruth (Stuart), Renate’ (Todd), Ralene, Rodney (Alisa), Rebecca (Gregory), Rachel (David), Robert (Jeni); 25 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, John and two sisters; Frances and Alhona. Her parents, her first husband Rodney and nine siblings preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Layton Emerald Ward, 1325 E. Cherry Lane. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
