Rebecca Jane Kirk Wilcock Shipley
1946 ~ 2021
Rebecca Jane Kirk Wilcock Shipley passed away peacefully June 1, 2021. Becki was born January 2, 1946 to Rollo and Chloe Ann Price Kirk.
Becki lived in Tooele until 1965, when she graduated from Tooele High School and married I. Lee Wilcock. They raised three beautiful daughters Jodie (Kerry) Hipwell, Stacie Metzler and Amber (Jake) Loock. Becki and Lee later divorced but remained very close.
In 1985 Becki lost five fingers in an industrial accident. This did not hold her back; she would do anything she wanted. If she didn’t want to do it, she’d tell the girls to do it!
In 1985 she met Michael Shipley, they were married December 12, 1996. They were together until her death. Becki obtained three sons with her marriage to Michael. Blake, Kirk, and Eric. She loved them like her own. They spent most summers camping. Becki loved the outdoors. She loved her family and spending time with them. Michael spent the last several years taking care of Becki.
Becki was an amazing cook. She was the designated pie baker for Thanksgiving meals. She loved lilacs, camping, candy, and diet coke. She never left the house without a can of caffeine free diet Coke in her hand and two in her purse.
Becki and her sisters ReNae Wise and Clo Ann Werre spent almost every weekend together having family dinners, shopping and camping.
She loved her daughters and grandkids completely.
Becki is survived by her husband Michael, daughters; Jodie (Kerry) Hipwell, Stacie Metzler, Amber (deceased) (Jake) Loock, her stepsons Blake, Kirk and Eric (Jeff), eight grandchildren; Kyler Hipwell, Chelsey (Austin) Gardner, Shaina Metzler, Tyler Metzler, Kennedy Loock, Jadyn Loock, Brianna Shipley, Alexia Shipley, two great grandsons; Carter Gardner and Wyatt Gardner She was preceded in death by parents, brother Ronald Kirk, ReNae Wise, Clo Ann Werre, daughter Amber Loock and step-father John Jack Daly
