Reed L. Crockett 1927 - 2011 RICHMOND, Virginia – Reed Lamont Crockett, 84, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, in Richmond, Virginia. Reed was born in Logan, Utah, on January 16, 1927, to Maude Kelson Crockett and Vernon Walter Crockett. He was educated in the Ogden City Schools and served with commendation in the U.S. Army in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign (Japan). He married Elaine Schneiter in the Logan LDS Temple on June 14, 1948. She died January 3, 1994. For most of his professional life, Reed was employed by the U.S. Treasury Department in Washington, DC. After his retirement, he and Elaine made their home in Richmond. Following Elaine’s death, he moved back to Utah where he lived for 16 years. Reed is survived by daughters, Debra (Larry) Potts and Jill (Steve) Nyland, as well as five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 12 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden.
