Reed Michael Kakazu
Reed Michael Kakazu was born to Dwight and Patricia Kakazu on December 23rd, 1975. He passed away on January 26th, 2011 in Layton, UT.
Reed''s passions in life were cooking, travel, and spending time with family and friends. Reed worked for many years in the restaurant industry where his sociability, kindness and selflessness were valued highly. He was a generous soul who found great joy in giving gifts. Gregarious and active, he had many friends. Always ready to laugh and listen, Reed was a blessing to all who knew him.
Reed is predeceased by his brother Spencer and by three grandparents Seiki Kakazu, Margaret Claspell and James Claspell.
Reed is survived by his parents Dwight and Patricia Kakazu, Layton; his grandmother Shizue Kakazu, Honolulu, HI; his elder brothers Grant, New Hampshire; and Jason (Julie), Clinton; his younger sister Joy (Daniel) Frei, Syracuse; and his five nieces and four nephews.
Beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin and friend, Reed will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Fort Lane Ward, 1402 N. Fort Lane, Layton. Friends may visit family on Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
