Our loving father, grandfather, son and brother, Reed Smith Thornock, 61, passed away following a heart attack on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. He was born on March 5, 1952 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Dewain Smith and Mary Jensen Thornock.

He joined the Marines in 1969. Shortly after that he married his best friend Debra Denise Tams on June 24, 1971 in Riverdale, Utah. Reed and Debra lived in Ogden, Utah, Chandler, AZ and Garden City, Utah. Debra passed away on August 12, 1996.

After leaving the service, he worked as a power lineman. He enjoyed being the Water Master for Garden City. Reed was a great handyman and had his own business. He was a great fan of Ducks Unlimited.

Reed loved hunting fishing, camping and especially spending time with his family and friends. He was able to mark taking an Alaskan Trip, with AJ, off his bucket list. He was the baddest man who ever walked the Planet Earth.
