Reese Ransom, 90, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 in Ivins, Utah.  He was born in Lewiston, Utah, on May 19, 1925, to Edgar Ames and Alice Van Orden Ransom.

He served our country in the US Marine Corps during World War II from 1943 to 1945.  After returning from War he met and married Winona Marie Hansen.  They were married on April 8, 1948 in Logan, Utah.  Reese and Winona settled in Ogden, Utah where he lived most of his adult life.  Winona passed away on December 4, 2010 after 62 wonderful years of marriage.

Reese was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was a High Priest.  He served as a Scout Master for many years including serving over a Special Needs Adult Troop.

He enjoyed auto and truck repair. Reese and Winona enjoyed camping in their RV with friends.  Reese also enjoyed hunting, gardening, reading, motorcycles, wrestling, and watching sports on TV.

Reese is survived by his sons, Paul Victor Ransom, Twin Falls, ID and Ross Van Ransom, Ivins, UT; daughters, Carol Marie Kelly, Huntsville, AL and Wanda Lee Goodrich, Bend, OR; 13 grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren; and sister, Marjorie Seward.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Winona; parents, brother, Kelly Ransom; and sisters, Floy Wells, Leda Beckstead, Martha Sharp, and Marjorie Seward.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Wilson 4th Ward, 3271 West 2550 South, Ogden.  Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
