Reginald Roybal
LAYTON – Reginald Roybal age 69, died Sunday May 17, 2009.
Reginald was born in Eagle, Colorado, April 11, 1940, the son of Annival and Tomasita Aerts Roybal.
Reginald married Olga Christina Baak on February 12, 1966, in Salt Lake City at the Cathedral of the Madeline. Olga preceded Reginald in death afer 35 years of marriage on January 15, 2001.
He was co-captain of the Davis High 1958 State championship wrestling team, lettered in baseball and was the President of the Boys Association his Senior year. Reginald was in the Student Government his Sophmore through Senior years at Davis.
Reginald is a member of the Traditional Latin Catholic Church. He graduated with high honors from Weber State University, and was also a U.S. Marine Honorably Discharged after three years. He retired from civil service at HAFB after 32 years of service.
Surviving are one son Shawn (Suzi) Roybal, and three daughters, Regina Handley, Colette (Cory) Nelson, Bridget (Christopher) Longfellow, 11 grandchildren and one brother Frank (Joan) Roybal.
Preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Bernadette Claire Roybal and Calina Teresa Roybal Louhinejadian.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 495 No. Harrison Blvd.
Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Holy Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 3 p.m. where military honors will be accorded.
