Reidun Voyenli Thomsen "Bestemor"

Reidun Voyenli Thomsen passed away on October 12, 2010 In West Bountiful, Utah surrounded by her family at the home of her daughter Barbara Ann.

She was born December 16, 1928 to Reidar Voyenli and Signe Marie Johannesen in Oslo, Norway. She married Finn Arendt Thomsen on September 14, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity.

Reidun served a full-time mission in Norway from 1951-1953. She immigrated to the United States in 1955. She served in many church positions including twice as ward Relief Society President. Following Finn''s retirement together they served three missions at the Stockholm Sweden Temple, where she served as an Assistant to the Matron. Following their missions they moved to Sweden for six months so they could serve as ordinance workers in the Stockholm Temple. Upon their return to Utah she served in the Bountiful Utah Temple as an ordinance worker.

She is survived by her husband Finn of 54 years and her children, Kenneth (Susan), Barbara Ann (Scott) Orris, Irene (Darren) Davis, Allen (Sharon); 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her younger brother Kjell (Lise) who resides in Oslo.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Bountiful Orchard 2nd Ward Chapel, 3707 S. 800 W. Friends may visit Friday, Oct. 15th from 6-8 pm at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Sat. from 9:45- 10:45 am at the church prior to services. Interment Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, 1640 Lakeview Dr. Bountiful. The family would like to thank, Susan, Charlee and Coundy from Lifepath Hospice for their love and support.
