Relva C. Swain
Relva C. Swain, 94, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 in Bountiful, Utah.
She was born Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1923 in Heber City, Utah, the daughter of John Hartley and Florence Ella Price Carlile. She married Ray Wendell Swain in the Idaho Falls Temple on November 19, 1946.
Relva worked for Sperry Univac for 10 years and, after a 30 year absence, she returned to work at AT&T Communications, retiring with 20 years of service. After her retirement, she served a family history mission in Salt Lake City, which she truly enjoyed. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities. She loved the Lord and had a strong testimony of prayer and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
She loved to read, knit, crochet and quilt, anything to keep her hands busy. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son Allen W (Terri) Swain, daughter Lynette Small, son-in-law Gary Haslam; 15 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters Nelda (Ken) Whiting and Gwen Pitts. Preceded in death by her husband, daughters Linda Swain, Karen Haslam, son-in-law Kevin Small and one great grandson Noah Baird.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 2, 2018 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary , 727 North 400 East where friends may call from 9:30-10:30 A.M. prior to services. Interment Heber City Cemetery.
