ReNea M. Edman

ReNea, 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Quail Meadows Assisted Living in North Ogden.  She was born in Salt Lake City on December 27, 1929 to John and May Matlock Edman.

ReNea started working at the age of 14 at Woolworths, and after 10 years, began a career with HAFB retiring with 32 years.  She then became a volunteer at McKay Dee Hospital and loved helping people for 19 years.

ReNea traveled extensively for many years and made several scrapbooks of all the wonderful places she visited.

ReNea leaves behind her sister, Anna Martin, Tooele; brother-in-law, Melvin Bracken; her “children from another mother”, Scott Bracken, nephew; Robert (Tammy) Bracken, nephew; and Shannon (Curt) West, niece; and also survived by many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Edman; sisters, Lorraine Rinaldi Hostutler and Gloria Bracken.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
