RENEE ZAZWETA PITA
1953 - 2021
Renee Marie Pita, 68, Woods Cross, Utah passed away unexpectedly with her loving family by her side on November 17, 2021. Renee was born in Pocatello, Idaho on September 15, 1953, the 4th daughter to Alvaro Zazweta and Josephine Clay Zazweta, she had 5 sisters and 1 brother: Adelita (Rogelio) Revelo, Margaret (George) Flores, Rebecca Carrizoza, Theadora Salazar, Joseanna Zazweta and Alvaro Zazweta. Renee had many nieces and nephews whom she loved so very much.
She leaves behind her children and grandchildren that she loved dearly: Jason Zazweta, Elicia (Reggie) Zazweta, Amber (Freddie) Pacheco, Tony (Alisea) Pita, Todd (Salani) Pita, and Tawnya (Tua) Toiaivao. She had 16 grandchildren- Marcus, Toa, Elizabeth, Christian, Aisake, Sa’olotoga, Lachoneus, Cassius, Adrian, Mosaea, Joseph, Ignasio, Adianna, Kamila, Tony Jr. and Taleea.
Renee worked at the Salt Lake City School district in child nutrition where she enjoyed helping children and made so many amazing friends in the 35 years she worked there. Renee may have been one tiny lady, but she had the world’s biggest heart.
Renee was a member of the St. Patrick’s Women’s Council of Catholic Women.
She is proceeded in death with the love of her life, Piki (Tauuapua) Pita; her father; mother; and sister, Joseanna Zazweta.
The viewing will be held on Monday Nov. 29, 2021, from 6-8 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, UT. The Mass/Rosery will be held on Tuesday Nov. 30, 2021, at 11AM at St. Patrick’s Church 1058 W. 400 S. SLC, UT 84104, followed by a graveside prayer at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams Rd. Bluffdale, UT 84065.
