Richard Arlen Rose, 90, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, with his devoted dog Misty by his side. He was born on May 22, 1933, in Logan, Utah, the son of Aurther Marcell and Dorothy Hulse Rose. He was raised in Ogden, Utah, graduated from Ogden High School Class of 1951, and attended Weber State.
He was drafted into the US Army around 1952 and served in the Korean War. Afterwards serving as a Reservist - Paratrooper, Green Beret in later years.
Richard married Barbara Esplin Rask on February 14, 1985.
He worked as an electrical engineer at Hill Air Force Base. He was a member of the American Legion and the Federal Organization of Eagles (FOE), and LDS church.
Richard as an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed farming, especially growing raspberries and won many ribbons at the Utah State Fair for his Raspberries. He was an all-around handy man. He also enjoyed prospecting, boating, and bowling.
Richard is survived by his children, Steve (Sherrie) Lines, Linda (Curtis) Eggleston, Kathy (Rick) Williams, Cynthia Webster, Richard (Ann) Rose, Holly Rose and stepson, Steven (Sandy) Rask. 21 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Myrna Rose. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; stepson, Wayne Rask; parents; a baby brother; and sister Lois and her husband Bob Ostrup.

March 21, 1935 ~ September 14, 2023. Barbara was a devoted wife of Richard A Rose.
Barbara was the mother of Steven and Wayne Rask.
Barbara liked to bowl, collecting items such as owls, cookie jars and anything Indian. She liked working with her hands doing various crafts. She helped in the raising of a granddaughter and great grandson. She had attended her 70th class reunion just before her passing.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
