Richard Leon Berry

Richard Leon Berry, 93, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019. He was born on September 17, 1925 in Ogden, Utah, the son of James Leon and Elsie Illena Frazer Berry.
He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II from November 1943 to December 1944.
Richard married Laura Johnson on October 6, 1948 in North Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 17, 1957. He was an active member of the LDS Church.
He worked as a radar technician and aircraft electrician at Hill Air Force Base for 42 years, retiring in 1987. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Laura Berry, children Richard (Barbara) Berry, Craig (Jolene) Berry, Laura Lee (Art) Dickamore and Michael Berry, 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February, 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Ben Lomond 9th Ward Chapel, 575 East 3100 North, North Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
