Richard Todd Boyd LAYTON – Richard Todd Boyd, 66, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010. He was born January 26, 1944 in Ferdona, Kentucky the son of Cornelius and Virginia D. Dixon Boyd. Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Richard married Angela Kay Schmidt on January 26, 1985 in Ogden, Utah. He was a member of the LDS Church. Richard liked the outdoors, camping, fishing, the Dallas Cowboys and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife Angela, Layton; children, Richard Boyd, Karlene Straten, Clearfield; Jeff Boyd, Ogden, Stephenne Boyd, Brigham; step-children, Thomas S. Hooper, West Haven; Valrey Young, AZ; Ellis W. Jensen, 37 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Memorial services will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Interment, Aultorest Cemetery.
