Richard “Dick” Brown
CLEARFIELD – Dick Brown, 75, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Davis Hospital and Medical Center from a chronic illness.
He was born October 10, 1937 in Jerome, Idaho, a son of Glen Ed and Esther June Lynch Brown.
He married Yvonne Elison, November 29, 1961 in Kaysville, Utah.
Dick worked at Hill Air Force Base for 33 years. He enjoyed driving a tractor, tilling gardens, doing final grades on many homes in the area and woodworking. He had served as President and on the board of directors of the Mutton Hollow Improvement District for many years. He and Yvonne were members of the Utah Arabian Horse Club for many years.
He was a great cook and family and friends enjoyed many Christmas breakfasts over the years.
Dick and Yvonne raised their family in Kaysville, lived in Arizona for 3 ½ years prior to moving to Clearfield.
Surviving are his wife Yvonne, Clearfield; two daughters and one son, Kim (Dan) Timmerman, West Valley; Shane (Allyson) Brown, Kaysville; DeDe (Travis) Johnson, Clearfield; nine grandchildren, Bridget, Preston (deceased), Mason, Caden, Cooper, Tess and Elli, Bailey and Jordyn, stepdaughter and her family Tera, Wes, Dylan and Ashton Novack. Also surviving are two sisters, Lois Collins, LA; Glenna Calahan, TX and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marge Bailey.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Friends may visit family Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
