Richard Conrad Shepherd, 92, passed away peacefully at home with family. Richard was born in Paris Idaho, the fourth of seven children of Robert and Veda Shepherd. He moved to Ogden in his early teens and graduated from Weber High School.
He made many friends through his years of work as a General Contractor. He treasured the time he spent camping and fishing with his wife Barbara and grandchildren. Later in life he enjoyed golfing with a group of friends and business associates.
Barbara passed away in 1999 and he continued to live at Emerald Hills until 2017 when he moved to Treeo. He spent the last six years connecting with old friends and making new ones.
Richard loved his family dearly and unconditionally. He is survived by his children, Scott (Cindy) Shepherd, Kamie (Curt) Geiger, Dareth (Bob) Anderson, Lisa (Tony) Rieken, and Lesilie (Rusty) Hardaway; 19 grandchildren, 58 greatgrandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Charlene; and brother, Bill. He was preceded in death by
wife, Barbara Shepherd; and grandchildren, Ben Geiger and Jake Shepherd.
Graveside services will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
