Richard Eugene Dial

Richard Eugene Dial, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. He was born on August 23, 1945 in Albia, Iowa to Richard H. and Minnie Ellen Miller Dial. He lived in the continental 50 states during his childhood, living in Iowa for 10 years. He spent the last 30 years mostly in the Ogden area.

He married Jo-Anne Penning on August 20, 1969 in Missouri. He was a self-employed truck driver. Richard was a Baptist and had a strong belief in God. He enjoyed horses, camping, fishing and spending time in the mountains.

Richard is survived by his wife, sons, Richard E. Dial Jr., Holbrook, AZ; Michale W. Dial, Clearfield, UT; and Robert J. Dial and John D. Dial, Ogden, UT; daughters, Debra Denise Dial, Ogden, UT; Patrica Ellen Dial, San Antonio, TX; and Melissa Nelson, West Haven, UT; 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; brother, James H. Dial, Hyrum, UT; and sisters, Minnie Irene Dial, Perry, UT and Lily Diane Wright, Downey, ID.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bud and Bill and sisters, Linda and Rosemary.

A Memorial in celebration of Richard''s life will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Ogden Park, 3144 Taylor Ave, Ogden, UT. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
