Richard Lyman Geyer, 90, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2011. He was born to Frank and Alice Wilcox Geyer on November 19, 1921 in Bath, New York. He grew up in New York, but spent most of his adult life in Utah.

During World War II, he served his country as a pilot and mechanic in the Air Force. Just before being discharged from the Air Force, he married Doreen Sadler. They were later divorced, but remained forever friends.

He was a member of Civil Air Patrol, FOE, and VFW. Richard owned two Taverns in Ogden. He loved flying and repairing watches and clocks.

Richard is survived by son, Ricky; daughters, Cheryl, Jenny, and Julie; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the George W. Wahlen Veteran''s Home.
