Richard Fisher Hall
1930-2022
Bountiful, Utah – Richard F. Hall 91, passed away peacefully on Friday March 4, 2022 in Bountiful, Utah
Richard (Dick) was born to Walt and Emma Hall on March 30, 1930 at 3:30 in the afternoon. He grew up in his grandmother’s old pioneer home on 2300 East in Salt Lake City. He attended Sherman Elementary School, Olympus Jr. High School and Granite High School. At 18 years old he joined the Navy where he served for 5 years. While in the Navy he took a job in the machine room where he learned to run computers. That became his lifelong career. He worked at the Utah State Tax Commission along with many part time jobs over the years. Dick met and married Rose Eschler Willsey, the love of his life, in 1957. Along with a new wife he gained two little boys, Gord and Mike. They settled in Bountiful and soon added Steve, Susan and Jeff.
Dick was a very hard worker, it seemed he always had a project to work on. He enjoyed gardening and always had a large vegetable garden. His yard was full of beautiful flower beds, each full of roses. Dick was a very kind, loving, gentle man. He loved his family unconditionally and was always there for his wife, kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He was very loyal and dependable and was always there to help anyone in need.
Dick loved to go camping and fishing. He was happiest in the mountains next to a lake, river or stream with a fishing pole in his hand. His fondest memories were of camping trips with his family. That was his “happy place.” He spent most of his free time “goin’ fishin’!”
He is survived by his children Gordon Willsey, Stephen Hall, Susan (Bob) Noble and Jeffrey Hall. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister Julie (Harold) Carpenter, and brother Stan Hall. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Don, wife Rose, son Michael and one great grandchild.
A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may visit family from 12:30- 1:30 prior to services. Please come share your memories of Dick with us.
