Richard Keith Moon, 54, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012.

Richard was born May 19, 1958 in Bakersfield, California to Keith E. and Ila M. Ricks Moon. He was raised and educated in Bakersfield.

He married Debbie Jean Abbott on October 28, 1978 and together they had six children. They later divorced. On May 23, 2002, Richard married Mona Small.

Richard was a member of the LDS Church.

He retired as a SSTG from the USAF and then worked at Hill AFB as an aircraft mechanic.

He loved camping, fishing, hunting, motor cross racing, Mt. Man Rendezvous'' and riding his Harley.

Richard is survived by his wife, Mona; five children, Daniel R. Moon, Jared A. Moon, Steven E. Moon, (currently serving in the US Army in Korea), Emma Marie Walling, Sarah Elizabeth Gochberg; one grandchild with another one on the way; two brothers, Don Wilkins, Robert Wilkins and one sister, Dianna Wilson.

He was preceded in death by one son, Richard and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 13th at 10 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

The family will meet with friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park, where Military Honors will be accorded.
