Richard J Price “Rick”

May 20, 1956 ~ June 30, 2017

With great heartache and sorrow, we lost a wonderful man full of integrity and love, a loving husband, father and papa on a beautiful summer afternoon. Rick completed his journey on Friday, June 30, 2017 due to a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Rick was born May 20, 1956 to Russell and Lois Price in Fontainebleau, France. He graduated from Layton High School in 1974. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Airforce. He worked at Hill Air Base for 41 years as an Jet Engine Mechanic. In his journey in life he enjoyed fishing and camping with his “Baby-Cakes” and grandbabies.

He met the love of his life, LeAnn Clontz, on July 4, 1981 and they were married August 14, 1981. Rick and LeAnn were blessed with two children. They grew roots in Layton, Utah as a family. He loved his children very much and was so very proud of their accomplishments.

Dad and mom have shown extraordinary examples of life and love to all those around them. He will be missed by so many.

Rick is survived by his loving and constant companion of 36 years, LeAnn Price, daughter, Amanda Spatz (Daniel), son, Clifton Price, grandbabies, Brooklynn, Mackenzye, Kayden, Briley, his mother, Lois, sister, Donna Beck, brother, Russell and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Price and sister, Corrine.

A special thank you to our team at the Huntsman Center on this journey. We appreciate all that they did for Rick. Also, Hearts for Hospice.

The family will meet with friends for a viewing on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
