October 6, 1953 ~ December 31, 2020

Richard Raymond Brown, 67, went to be with his Lord on December 31, 2020. He passed at his home after suffering from breathing difficulties.

Richard was the son of Thomas Richard and Joyce Brown, (who have passed).

He attended Roosevelt Elementary school, T H Bell Junior High and Bonneville High school.

After graduation, he joined the U.S.A.F. Upon completing basic training he received orders to Vietnam. After his tour ended, he was stationed in Pease, New Hampshire where he worked on several types of aircraft and later became a crew chief on C-135’s. Richard separated from the US Air Force and went to work as an aircraft mechanic at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah. He joined the Navy reserves and later the USAF Guard where he served in the Kosovo campaign. He worked at Hill Air Force for 38 years.

Richard was a founding member of WAM, or Wasatch Aero Modelers. His love of RC planes and later, RC jets would consume a great deal of his time.

He attended Family Worship Center where he received Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Later he attended Christian Worship Center until his death.

Richard is survived by his brother, Doug Brown, sister-in-law, Samarn Brown, sister, Shari Whetton and his brother-in-law, Joe Whetton, niece, Candice Covell nephews, Justin Covell, Amnard Brown and Thomas Brown. Richard will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

We love you Richard, we will meet you in Heaven.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
