LAYTON a€" Richard Arnold Ruttenbur Jr. 46, passed away June 3, 2007 at his residence.

He was born on July 13, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah the son of Richard A. and Mary Ann Koplin Ruttenbur. Richard was reared in Woods Cross and spent most of his life in Utah with the exception of his military service.

He married Sidney Paige Stone on January 15, 1982 in Salt Lake City.

Richard served our country in both the Army and the Air Force. He was a veteran of the Desert Storm War.

Richard was a member of the LDS Church and served a mission to Melbourne, Australia.

Richard was a very hard worker who always kept busy with his various activities and served many people. He loved many things, he especially enjoyed spending time with his family, deer hunting, camping, fishing and landscaping.

He is survived by Paige Ruttenbur, their daughters Jenifer Sue (Skyler) Valentine, Clearfield; Courtney Nichole Ruttenbur, Salt Lake City; granddaughter, Abigail Nichole Valentine, mother, eight brothers, Jerry, Albert, Guy, Glen, Mark, Lynn, Chris, Steven, three sisters, Coleen, Sherrie and Denza.

Preceded in death by his father and one brother, Lee Ruttenbur. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 8, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah, where military honors will be accorded. Arrangements under the direction of Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
