NORTH OGDEN a€" Our beloved husband and father, Richard K. Simmons, left this earth and joined the Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 27, 2009.

He was born March 14, 1928 in Bisbee, Arizona, a son of Warren and Marie Moon Simmons.

Rich married Margaret Irene Roome on August 20, 1949 in Denver, Colorado.

He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Rich graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1954.

He was an active and dedicated member of the First Church of Christ Scientist Ogden.

Rich designed the propulsion system for the Titan Rocket and enjoyed his career in aerospace, ordinance and robotics until he retired to Utah in July of 1994.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret, of North Ogden; two children, Mike and Candy, daughter-in-law, Debbie, son-in-law, Joe, grandchildren, Steve, Scott and wife Adrienne, Janice and Harrison, and great-grandchildren, Lauren, Steven, Ana, Vanessa, Alex, Evalyn and Alessia.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steve.

We love and will miss him.

The family would like to thank all the loving caregivers at Pleasant View Dialysis, Bonneville Dialysis and Ogden Regional Medical Center.

As per Rich''s wishes there will be no services.

Cremation under the direction of Lindquist''s Crematory.
