Richard Scott Slater, 53, passed away on August 7, 2014 at McKay Dee Hospital. He was born on October 18, 1960 to Richard Alma and Mollie Joan “Bushell” Slater. He grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School.

Scott loved to fish and spend time in the outdoors. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Scott is survived by his son, Travis Wright, Riverdale; daughter, Brandi Riley, Riverdale; father, Richard Slater, Ogden; brothers, Jack Slater, Fairbanks, Alaska; Sandie Malan “Marque”, Washington D.C.; and David Slater, Ogden, Utah.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Mollie Joan “Bushell”; and his grandparents.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

The family would like to thank his four cousins Ro, Sally, Kris, and Les for being his guardian angels. The family also wishes to thank the staff and doctors at McKay Dee Hospital for their extraordinary service and care.
