Richard Christopher Stacey

Richard Christopher Stacey passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017, of cardiac arrest.  He was born on September 27, 1950 in Chicago, IL, to Omar Thomas Stacey and Aileen Grace Turner.  He was raised by his beloved grandparents, Christopher Thomas Stacey and Josephine Anastasia Stacey, and his aunt Rita Jaques.  He married Katie “Vera Kate” Ward on August 4, 1970 in Huntsville, AL.

He was a good provider for his wife five children.  He loved working on his cabin, rafting, the river, camping, and four-wheeling.  His greatest joy was eating the smoked ribs that all of his sons cooked so well and having his grandchildren over.

Richard is survived by his wife, Katie; five children, Christopher Richard (Olena) Stacey, Christi Joy (James) Harmon, Levi Aaron (Stephanne) Stacey, Cody Allen (Hannah) Stacey, Austin McKay Stacey; his brothers, Omar Thomas Stacey and Jeff Stacey; his sister, Donna Mawson; and his aunt Rita Jaques.

A Memorial service for friends and family will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Harrisville 1st Ward, 435 West Harrisville Rd.  Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
