January 23, 1942 ~ September 20, 2018
Richard Gregory Stark, aged 76, passed away peacefully at his home in South Ogden on Thursday, September 20, 2018 with his devoted wife, Linda at his side.
Richard was born on January 23, 1942 in Passaic, NJ to Raymond and Ester (Rodriguez Ayala) Stark. He grew up in Ramsey and Waldwick, New Jersey and took on big responsibilities at a young age. He joined the US Air Force at age 17, shortly after graduating high school.
During his 25 year military career, he served in England where he met and married his first wife, Marina. After being widowed, he served in Vietnam, where he met and married his wife Linda. His tours of duty included locations in England, Germany, Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, as well as State side bases.
He loved to fish and spent many hours with his family at Lake Perris, CA. He enjoyed darts, key lime pie, and playing pinochle. His love of reading he passed to all three of his children and many of his grandchildren. His favorite genre was science fiction and he was a fan of both Star Trek and Star Wars.
Richard's sense of humor was well known and never wavered, even through his cancer treatments and hospitalizations the last six months.
Richard is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Nikki (Larry), Collette (Gary), and Ray (Sarah); seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and siblings, Patricia, Priscilla, Brian, and Deborah.
