Richard Ricardo Turner
LAYTON a" Richard Ricardo Turner, Sunrise July 26, 1948 Columbus, Ohio ~ Sunset December 2, 2008 Davis Hospital and Medical Center, Layton, Utah at the age of 60.
Richard was a member of the Mount Ogden Lodge 20, Ben Lomond Consistory #94 and Labbayk Temple 218.
He was born to Harper and Mary McClendon Turner.
Richard married Karra A. Woodard on September 21, 1973 in Las Vegas, NV.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corp then served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a SSgt. He served in the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed refereeing softball, basketball games and volleyball games all over the community.
Survived by his wife Karra Turner, daughters, Tia Q. (El) Talley, Marie A. (James) Nealy, Angel Turner, mother, Mary Turner, brothers, Claude (Becky) McClendon, Alvin Turner, sister, Arma Jean (Leroy) Anderson, sister-in-law, Brenda (Tim) Gibbs, grandchildren, Daeisha and Bernard Parker, Domanique, Zachary, Haile, Quintin and Rocquel Talley, Alyssa Nealy, Godchildren, ArisRose McKing, Anthony Jr, Jamal, Erica and Jasmine Keyes.
Preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, where military honors will be accorded by the HAFB Honor Guard. Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services at the mortuary.
