Richard (Dick) Vernon Johnson

Richard (Dick) Vernon Johnson, 66, passed away peacefully at home on December 5, 2015.

He was born January 8, 1949 to Vernon and Irene Johnson in Grace, Idaho.  He graduated from Grace High School in 1967.  He served an LDS mission in Sweden.  Upon returning, he moved to Ogden, Utah where he attended Steven-Henager College where he met his beloved wife DeAun George of 45 years.

They were married December 10, 1971 in the Logan LDS Temple.

Richard worked 38 years at Envirotech where he later retired. He was an usher at Weber State University at the time of his death.  He enjoyed camping at the Ranch, playing golf with his boys, watching NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys.

Richard is survived by his wife, four children: Todd (Melissa) Johnson, Tim (Michele) Johnson, Travis (DeDe) Johnson, Desiree (Toby) Butzler and eight grandchildren, Bailey, Tyler, Jeron, Adam, Jordyn, Trace, Brandon and Sarah.

He is also survived by three siblings, Gay, Roger and Jan.

Preceded in death by his parents and one sister Joyce.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
