Rickey Lynn Little Eilander

July 24, 1955 ~ February 3, 2017

Rickey Lynn Little Eilander passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, February 3, 2017 after more than 26 years of kidney dialysis.  He was born on July 24, 1955.

He is survived by his wife Penny of 38 years and daughter Danielle with whom he created many cherished memories.

Rick was the fourth child born to John Robert Little Eilander and Joylene B. Pettit and grew up in and around Ogden, Utah where he was a carpenter by trade.  He also spent 15 years in Houston, Texas where he was active in his Christian church as an usher, home fellowship leader and various ministries.  He and his wife operated a family daycare, helping influence the lives of many young children.  Rick is known for his humor, patience, and compassion and will be greatly missed.

Rick is survived by his sisters, Cathy (Darrell) Dickinson, Christine (Gary) Weicks, Johnene (Art) Nehls, Sandra (Todd) Cook, and Deanna (J.R.) Bazan; brother, Steven (Michelle) Eilander; and step-family, JoAnn (Chris) Carter, Diane (Scott) Jacobson, Steven (Debbie) Wright, and Robert Wright.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Brigham City Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Pleasant View Dialysis Center for their years of care and understanding that they extended to Rick and his wife.
