Rick D. Mark

Rick D. Mark left his earthly home on October 5, 2017, just one day after his 62nd birthday. He was born October 4, 1955, in Ogden, Utah. He spent his childhood in Antioch, California but returned to Utah with his family in his teenage years. He attended Roy High and graduated from Canyon High. He continued his education at the Ogden Applied-Technology College and Weber State University.
Through-out his life he worked for various construction companies as a carpenter and had a wealth of knowledge on building things. Rick had a love for hunting, fishing, and enjoyed trips with his brothers into the outdoors. He also loved sports and watching his teams, the Washington Redskins, Denver Broncos, the Colorado Rockies. He loved all things John Wayne, and was also an avid coin collector. Rick was a member of the LDS church and recently went through the Ogden temple.
He was the father of six children: Jason Mark of Fruit Heights, Angela (Adam) Towns of Plain City, Kenneth (Jennifer) Mark of Layton, Delwin (Pepper) Mark of Syracuse, B. Scott (Rachel) Mark of Woods Cross, and Hayley (Lyle) Biddle of Kaysville. Rick also had 19 grandchildren.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents: Delwin Mark, Betty Jean Hall and a great-nephew, Drayden Mark.
He leaves behind his ex-wife and friend Kathleen Mark, his children, grandchildren, sister Deborah (Jim) Llewelyn, brother Cary (Shelley) Mark, and brother Kevin (Tina) Mark.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
