Robert Val Adkins, known to everyone as Val, passed away on November 4, 2024, in Clinton, Utah. He was born on January 21, 1953, in Ogden, Utah to Everett and Ellen (Egbert) Adkins.
Val’s journey through life was marked by love and partnership. He married Sherry Daniel on October 28, 1983, in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and companionship, as they created a beautiful life together over the years. Val was retired from Hill AFB where he worked as a painter. He was a talented woodworker, stained glass artist, and a wonderful mechanic, bringing two 57 Chevy’s back to life, winning many car show awards for his talents.
He is survived by his step-children Scott Allmon (Tasha), Keith Allmon (Carrie), and Stacy (Lawrence) Graves, seven grandchildren: Mariah, Miranda, Maleah, Mikinley, Matthew, Alexandra, and Benjamin, and two great grandchildren: Kayden and Taylor-Kate. Val was preceded in death by his loving wife Sherry, his parents, his sisters, Sue Thompson and Christine Williams and his brother, Dee Adkins. He is also survived by his very special kitties, April and Raine.
Val will be remembered not only for his love for his family but also for his unwavering spirit, kindness and generosity. His presence in the lives of those who knew him will be profoundly missed. As we reflect on Val’s life, we honor the joy he brought to his family and friends, reminding us all of the beauty of love and the bonds that unite us.
