Robert A. Anderson
KAYSVILLE a" Robert (Bob) A. Anderson, 84, died peacefully at home on September 16, 2010. He was born on November 18, 1925, in Provo, Utah, to Hans Arthur Anderson and Vera Pearl Strong, and was their only child.
Due to his mother''s poor health, his family moved to Milford, Utah and ultimately to Los Angeles, California, where he lived until he joined the Navy when he was only 17. In the Navy he was a participant in many of the WWII battles in the South Pacific.
He met his sweetheart, Corilla Sessions, while attending BYU. They were married on December 20, 1946, in the Salt Lake Temple, and enjoyed 63 years of married life together. He was a wonderful supportive husband, father and grandfather and was happiest when he was with his family.
Most of his career was spent working at Hill Air Force Base in the Landing Gear Division. He then drove a school bus for Davis County Schools for 23 years. He loved the students on his bus. He was giving to others in need, sharing what he had.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved his home teaching families and served faithfully in other callings, as well. He and his wife served two missions, one in New Zealand for 18 months, and one in Frankfort, Kentucky, for one year. He was a temple ordinance worker in both the Ogden and Bountiful Temples.
