Robert (Bob) Carl Paul

December 13, 1961 — July 15, 2024

Ogden

Robert (Bob) Carl Paul, passed away on July 15, 2024, at his home in Ogden, Utah of natural causes. He was born on December 13, 1961, in Dallas, Oregon to parents Les and Bonnie Paul.

Bob graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1980. After high school, he joined the Navy and served for four years as an Electrician’s Mate 3 (EM3) on the USS New Jersey. After the Navy, he returned to Ogden for a few years, and then spent two years in Juneau, Alaska where his family was living at the time. He returned to Ogden in the early 90’s where he lived the rest of his life.

Bob was an electrical engineer the majority of his adult life. Since 2007 he worked at Zachry Engineering (formally Ambitech).

Bob loved skiing and concerts! He was an avid skier at Snowbasin outside of Ogden.

Additionally, he loved to go to concerts with his friends. We are told he also really enjoyed obtaining concert tickets for others, even if it wasn’t an event he would be attending. All his friends have described him as “incredibly generous and kind”. For the past 30+ years, one of his favorite local establishments was The City Club where he was affectionately known as “Bob-O”.

Bob is survived by his four siblings (all in Oregon): Janet Paul, Brenda (Chris) Casperson, Shawn Paul and Jennifer Orton, six nieces, two nephews and several extended families. Bob also had many friends who were like family in the Ogden area. He was preceded in death by his parents Les and Bonnie Paul.

There will be a Celebration of Life scheduled at a later date (Winter 2024).

In lieu of flowers, given Bob’s love of Snowbasin and skiing, the family would request you consider donating to Ogden Valley Adaptive Sports, 2955 Harrison Blvd #104D, Ogden, UT 84403 (or online via their website: https://ogdenvalleyadaptivesports.org). Or to the charity of your choice.
