Robert Brown, 83, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at his home.

He was born May 25, 1927 in Woodruff, Utah to William Ezra and Jeanette Nielson Brown. He was raised and educated in Evanston, Wyoming.

Bob served his country in the United States Navy.

On June 23, 1957, Bob married Sybil "Candy" McKinley in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Candy preceded him in death on March 20, 1998.

He retired from Hill Air Force Base.

Bob was a member of the LDS Church where he served in various callings.

He was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Bob is survived by his children, Mike (Gayle) Brown, Clinton; Kiven (Tara) Brown, Clinton; Jay (Vickie) Brown, Harrisville; Joseph Brown, Idaho Falls, ID; LaVon Brown, Ogden; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Sarah Robinson, Evanston, WY; Bessie (Roy) Meadows, Coalville; Delora Bateman, Kemmerer, WY; and Bernice (Ralph) Warner, Coalville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Nanette, two grandchildren, one brother, Jim, and two sisters, Agnes and Eleanor.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12th at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

The family will meet with friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
