Robert Browning

Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in Clearfield, UT.  Bob was born in Inglewood, CA to Roy W. and Frances Browning.  He married Carol Layton of Kaysville on November 8, 1958 and they were later sealed in the Ogden LDS temple on June 1, 1976.  Bob was raised in Ogden, UT and graduated from Weber High School and Weber State College.  He loved sports and excelled in many of them.  He especially loved coaching his sons and their friends.  Bob and Carol raised their family in Sunset and Clearfield where he lived until his passing.  Bob retired from Hill Air Force Base and he also enjoyed his time at ZCMI’s working in men’s suits.  Bob was an active member of the Clearfield 2 ^nd Ward where he held many callings.  He loved doing his home teaching and singing in the choir.

Bob is survived by his wife Carol, and five children Diane (John) Unsworth, West Valley, Robert S. (Lesa) Browning, Layton, Bruce (Natalie) , South Weber, Linda (Clint) Osiek, Hooper, and Leslie (Dave) Braegger, Layton. He is also survived by his sisters Cheryl (Ed) Adair and Jenean Jillson , 26 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by two grandsons.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
