Robert A. Cox
HONEYVILLE – Robert Armond Cox, 71, passed from this earthly life on Friday, September 4, 2009 from complications following heart surgery.
He was born January 18, 1938 in Salt Lake City, a son of John A. and Mildred Griffith Cox.
On June 22, 1994, Bob married Carol H. Ulm. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Honeyville 1st Ward. He served in various callings throughout the years.
Bob retired from the Union Pacific Railroad as a machinist following many years of service. He also owned and operated Bob Cox Repair in Ogden.
Bob had a passion for life, his family, restoring old cars, camping, fishing, four wheeling and working as a mechanic. He was a member of the Rendezvous Rockets Car Club and the VMCCA Cache County Car Club. Bob loved his family and friends and would go to great lengths to help people in need.
Surviving are his wife, Carol, of Honeyville; seven children, Bob (Darla) Cox, Deborah Cox, Tim (Brooke) Cox, Annette Deon, David (Lindy) Cox, Jean Ann Cox, Melissa Cox; his stepchildren, Bart (LaRue) Ulm, Linsey (Gerry) Dickson, Steve (Shauna) Ulm, 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are his siblings, Jack (Barbara) Cox, Merlyn (Joe) Sowers, Janett (Jess) Brown, Ray (Lorna) Cox, Tom (Linda) Cox, Claudia (Greg) Payne and Lyle (Debbie) Cox.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mildred Cox.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Honeyville 1st Ward Chapel, 2620 West 6980 North, Honeyville, UT.
Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday at the Ward Chapel 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Honeyville Cemetery.
