WASHINGTON TERRACE a" Bob Daily, 76, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2010, surrounded by his family. As a double cancer survivor, he continued with quality of life for an additional five years using complementary alternative medicine until he succumbed from melanoma.
He was born November 27, 1933 in Ogden, to Charles Fred and Sarah Adelia "Dee" Kilfoyle Dalton. When his mother remarried, he and his two sisters were raised by Clarence "Doc" Daily.
In 1955, Bob married Renee Berg, a union lasting 42 years. They were sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple in 1978. Renee preceded him in death. He married Linda Wisegiver Gleason on November 1, 1996.
He loved to work. During his working years he was a member of Local 348/140 Plumbers/Pipefitters Union. Following his retirement, he continued working part time at McKay-Dee Hospital in valet parking for the past 13 years.
Bob loved hunting, camping, snowmobiling, four wheeling, motorcycles, western movies and hunting in Montana. He also loved target shooting, reloading, and making his own arrows. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bob and Linda delighted in maintaining a beautiful yard.
Surviving are his wife, Linda, of Washington Terrace; and four children, Nancy (Trent) Schaelling, Roy; Terrie Hanney (Keath, deceased), MT; Steve Daily and Brent Daily, both of Ogden; one stepdaughter, Andrea VanAlfen, Layton; seven grandchildren, one step-grandson, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are his sisters, Charlene Muir, Emmett, ID; Stella Paris and Dearl Batchelor, both of Wendell, ID; and one brother, James (Joyce) Daily, Ogden.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Family will meet with friends at the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
