Robert Walker

Robert Darrel Walker passed away on September 18, 2015 after many years with heart problems.  He was born in Fort Duchesne, Utah on February 8, 1925 to Joseph Darrel Walker and Dorothy Mae Griffis. On February 13, 1946 he married the love of his life, Arvil Todd, in the Salt Lake Temple.

As a youth, he attended Roosevelt High School.

Robert served in the US Army and was in the South Pacific during World War II. Following his military service, he attended Utah State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.  He worked at Hill AF Base for 38 years and was the manager of Hill Rod and Gun Club for 15 years. He enjoyed his involvement with Toastmasters and was an avid skeet shooter.  As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was very involved in genealogy work.

He is survived by his wife Arvil, son Craig Barton Walker, daughter  Shelley  Santos, and brothers Lynn and Kennith Walker.  He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Keith Walker, and daughter Sandra McClellan.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Crestwood Ward, 1039 E. Crestwood Rd.  Friends may visit family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main St, and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Dr. Reddy and the nursing staff at Davis Hospital, especially Rachel. We also thank the members of Kaysville Crestwood Ward for their loving support.
