ROBERT YANCY EARLE

April 19, 1969 ~ September 13, 2015

Robert Yancy Earle, 46, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015 in Clearfield, Utah.

Robert was born April 19, 1969 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Gary and Sandy Porter Wheeler.

He married his sweetheart, Kristina (Kite) Earle on November 14, 1998; the marriage was later solemnized in the Las Vegas, Nevada LDS temple. They shared 17 years of marriage together.

As a child he enjoyed camping and fishing with his father and grandfather. He loved science and experimenting, our personal favorite was tormenting his sisters with his frozen then thawed reincarnated grasshoppers; which were often left as a surprise in mom’s and neighbors freezers.

He graduated from Layton High School in 1987 and received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Stevens-Henager College.

He was employed for many years at Autoliv and most currently at Simple Systems as an IT Support in Holladay.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He served time in both military and law enforcement. Robert was a “true nerd” and enjoyed computers, Star Trek, Spider-Man, and all things Sci-Fi. He will be remembered for the love of his family; he found great joy in his grandchildren. He was a man of few words yet with a head full of a thousand brilliant thoughts. He was naturally a calm, loving, intellectual man, whose earthly struggles are no more.

He is survived by his wife Kristina, daughters, Caitlyn, Jordyn (Jesse) Ward, Alexa, Annika, and Jenna; grandchildren, Jace, Brealeigh, Valynn, and Jameson; mother, Sandy and in-laws, David and Larae Kite; siblings, Jeannie Miller, Kassi Clifford, Brittany (Jeremy) Strong, Brooke (Mark) Jensen and in-laws, Cherelle (Mike) Waite, Natalie Randall, Matt (Brandon) Kite, and many other loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Wheeler, his grandparents Averille and Betty (Morgan) Porter, and many other close loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2015 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Sunday, September 20th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
