AKA Francis Magic

Our son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend left this earth to meet his Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 14, 2014 after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.

Robert (Bob) H. Francis was born in Ogden, Utah on January 22, 1961 to Harlan and Joanne Francis.  He has two brothers Scott (Jean) and David (Lea) Francis.

He was married to Janell Wilson, later divorced.  Together they had two daughters, Sara Whitney and Joanne Rose Francis and became a father to Lara Wilson.  Bob married Kathy D’More and became a father to Nick (Chanel) Gallegos and Penny Hughes.  He had nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was an uncle to many nephews and nieces.  Robert attended Weber State University where he received his formal education.  He also attended many sponsored vehicle manufacture training programs.  He built and owned his own shop in Ogden.  Bob worked in the top of Utah for 35 years where he made many friends while operating his own business until his illness caused him to close shop.  His friends called him Francis Magic.  When a customer asked, “How did you diagnose that?”  He said, “That’s the Francis Magic.”  His true passion was riding on his boat as he glided across the open waters with the wind blowing towards his back as the sunset disappeared into a light show of stars.

Robert is preceded in death by his grandparents, Blair (Neva) Williams and William (Bessie) Francis.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
