SYRACUSE a€" Robert Lee Griffiths (Bob) passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011. Bob was born January 19, 1931 in Compton, CA to William and Florence Griffiths. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a WWII veteran.

On July 16, 1950 he married his loving wife Doris Jean Baker. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple. During their 60 years of marriage they raised four sons: Patrick, Michael, Timothy and Robert. Bob was a very devoted father. His family was the center of his life. He was well respected by all that knew him.

Bob is survived by his wife Doris, his son Robert (Allie), ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four brothers and one sister. He was preceded in death by sons Patrick, Mike, Tim, and his brother Lawrence.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Road where military honors will be accorded. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary.

The family would like to express appreciation to the staff of the Veterans Nursing home in Salt Lake City.
