Robert “Robb” Martens Hall III

April 8, 1966 ~ December 24, 2017

On Sunday, December 24, 2017, Robb crossed home plate peacefully, at home, surrounded by his family.

Robb was born on April 8, 1966 in Hindsdale, Illinois. His family brought him to Ogden when he was three years old.

He spent his formative years at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd at 24th and Grant and with his many friends from the Ogden community. He made friends on the ball field too as sports were a major part of his life. Robb’s friendships lasted a lifetime and he never met a person who didn’t love him.

From a young age, Robb was always a champion for those in need. He went out of his way to make people around him feel welcome and accepted.

At the request of Father Scott (Bishop Hayashi) of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Robb started an at-risk youth program. This ultimately led to the beginning of Youth Impact.

Over the next 25 years, Robb took a handful of youth and couple of volunteers to the program it is today.  Robb mentored countless youth. He was able to help them become productive citizens in the community. Youth Impact was successful because of Robb and his kind and giving attitude.  He truly believed it takes a village to raise a child and never took credit alone. He loved his “Little Angels” and taught them to follow his motto to “Respect All and Fear None.”

Robb loved the Denver Broncos and all things baseball. On any given Sunday you could find Robb in his front yard playing corn hole and watching football with family, friends, and a cold Coors Light.

Robb is survived by his wife, Nicole; mother, Jan; brother, Tim (Christine); children, Danielle Bell (Todd), Samantha, Hannah, Kailey Burton, Hunter Larsen, and J.J. Martinez. He was preceded in death by his father, Papa Bob Hall.

We love you Robb. It’s your world and we’re just in it.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Youth Impact, 2305 Grant Ave, Ogden, UT 84401. The “post-game” celebration will continue at Brewski’s on 25th Street. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
