Robert Oliver Harvey

Robert Oliver Harvey, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on July 19, 2024, at his home in Layton, Utah. He was born on September 26, 1930, in Cadott, Wisconsin. 

 Robert proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1947 to 1952. His dedication to serving his country exemplified his sense of duty and patriotism throughout his life.

On April 14, 1978, he married the love of his life, Yvonne Ellen Grimes, in Tustin, California. 

Robert served as a maintenance supervisor for the Huntsman Packaging-Plastics Company.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Robert found great joy in rebuilding tractors as one of his favorite hobbies. His passion for this pastime brought him immense satisfaction and allowed him to showcase his mechanical skills with pride.

Robert also leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories with his surviving family members: Ken (Carrie) Harvey, Mike Harvey, Teri (Dave) Bazzle, Chris (Diane) Papaj, Matt Papaj, along with 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren. 

Among Robert's proudest accomplishments was being a member of the Great Basin Antique Machinery Club. His involvement in this esteemed organization brought him joy and allowed him to connect with fellow enthusiasts who shared his passion for preserving history through machinery.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday July 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church  5560 South 2300 West, Roy, Utah. Family and friends may visit Friday July 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.

Interment will be held at the Brooklawn Cemetery in Cadott Wisconsin.
