Robert LaVell Hubert

Robert LaVell Hubert, 71, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2008.

He was born June 28, 1936 in Enumclaw, Washington to George Denver and Wanda Fern Lawrence Hubert. He attended schools in the Seattle area and obtained his GED.

On June 27, 1959, Bob married his soul mate, Myrna Gail Conklin in Seattle, Washington. They later moved to God''s country, Huntsville, Utah.

Bob served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and later in the U.S. Naval and Air Force Reserves. Serving his country with pride brought out his belief in God which was shown by the way he treated others.

Bob worked at Thiokol as a fireman for a brief time. He retired from D.D.O. as a warehouse supervisor after 31 years of service and later enjoyed his time as a bus-driver for Laidlaw.

He was a Cub master for the Boy Scouts and a Little League coach.

Bob was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Golden Spike Bikers Association.

He played minor league baseball in Florida, fast pitch and slow pitch softball for DDO in the Ogden Recreational program. He enjoyed bowling, square dancing, camping, fishing and hunting. Bob and Myrna loved traveling the U.S. on his Honda motorcycle. He was a kind and gentle man who lived and loved life to the fullest. He was very proud of his family.

Bob is survived by his wife, Myrna; a daughter, Robyn Woolsey, Ogden; three grandchildren, Tiesha Thomas, Florida; Amanda Woolsey, Salt Lake City; Michelle Woolsey, Washington Terrace; and three great-grandchildren, Patrick, Kaleb and Hailey Thomas, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Denny Lynn and a son, Michael L.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 26th at 1:00 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
