LAYTON - Robert (Bob) Lee Schwab II, 61, passed away on July 8th at home from pancreatic cancer. He was born in Dayton, OH on June 15, 1949 to Robert Lee Schwab I and Irene Jensen. He worked for the BLM as a drill operator. He worked at Hill AFB in the cable shop and retired as a crane operator at the Utah Test and Training Range.

He married Cheri Anderton in 1973, and they later divorced. From that union they had four children. He married Vickie Boman in 1997and their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Bountiful Utah Temple.

Bob loved riding his motorcycle, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends at their cabin in Lava Hot springs. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his wife Vickie, step-father Jerry Sanford, Star Valley, WY, In-laws Asel and Dora Boman, Layton, UT, sisters; Sondra (Paul) Gilbert, Tracy, CA, Karen Benefield, Eufala, AL, brother Glen (Raylene) Brown, West Point, UT, his children Daniel (Liz) Schwab, Syracuse, UT, Mason Schwab, Clearfield, UT, Sara (Jimmy) Ukena, Roy, UT, Rex (Jennie) Schwab, Clearfield, UT, step children, Amber (Bruce) Campbell, Kaysville, UT, Adam (Nellie) Mosser, Perry UT, 10 grandchildren and a grandson due in December.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Douglas Ralph Brown, daughter in law, Candace Mosser.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 11a.m. at the Layton Hills Stake Center, 2300 N University Park Blvd. (1200 W). Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 pm at the Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N Fairfield Road, Layton, UT and from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the church.

Interment, Brigham City Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Community Nursing Services for their loving care and support, along with many loving neighbors and friends, especially Scott and Kathi Stanford.
