Robert Dixon Isakson
Robert Dixon Isakson, 70, passed away June 23, 2011 at his home in Elko, Nevada.
He was born March 22, 1941 in Hawthorn, California a son of Robert Albin and Sandra Faye Jacobson Isakson.
He grew up in the Layton-Clearfield area, he graduated from Davis High School and attended Weber College.
He married Rebecca (Becky) Scoffield on January 31, 1959 in Eureka, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He worked at Sperry Rand, and moved to Jackpot, Nevada worked on the J.K. Wheeler Ranch. He returned with his family to Syracuse, Utah and retired from Williams International. After retirement he moved to Elko, Nevada where he worked in a machine shop until a month ago.
Bob loved horses and he was very good at training them.
He is survived by his daughter, Kami, sons, Guy (Tami) Garner and Cody, his mother Sandra Isakson, brother, Bill (Joanne), sisters, Sherry Chee, Sharla (Bob) Banz, one grandson, two step-grandsons and four great-grandsons.
Preceded in death by his wife, father and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 1, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
