Robert Leland Larsen
WEST WEBER a" Robert Leland Larsen passed away, Sunday, October 14, 2012 after a recent diagnosis of cancer. Robert was born on December 4, 1927 to William Leland and Delila Lorrett Bush Larsen in Brigham City, UT. He was raised and educated in Ogden.
He married Dot Dawson on June 16, 1947 and they were later divorced. From this marriage two sons and two daughters were born: David D. (Ann) Larsen, Mountain Green, Utah; William R. (Jeanette) Larsen, Henefer, Utah; LaVon (Willard Louis) Dean, Sandy, Utah and Denice (Samuel) Wright, Mountain Green, Utah.
Robert later married Jean McFarland on December 18, 1954 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had three daughters, Trudy Lynn (Richard) Pehrson, Farr West, Utah; Becky (Dan) Hammer, West Weber, Utah and Caroline Bryant, North Ogden, Utah.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in Young Mens, Scouting, as a Ward Clerk, Stake Missionary, as a High Priest Group Leader, and home teacher. He worked for Swifts for 25 years and later for Eddy''s Bread and Parke Meat Co. and worked as a manager for the Deseret Industries in Logan, Brigham City and Ogden, Utah, retiring in 1985. He loved to hunt and fish, especially the Madison River in Montana.
Robert is survived by his seven children, 18 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his eternal companion, Jean of almost 50 years; parents; brother, Gerald; grandson, Ryan Pehrson and son-in-law Lynn Bryant.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Brigham City Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
